Lailani Africa is a sound healing practitioner and singer-songwriter. Through her practice, she offers a transformative journey for individuals, particularly singer-songwriters, to unlock their inner "soul songs" using a fusion of sound, reiki, and intuitive guidance from oracle readings.

Her mission is rooted in helping others experience deep rest, transformation, and the unveiling of their authentic selves, creating harmony within themselves and those around them. Lailani's music and sound journeys aim to empower the mind, body, and spirit. Audiences are immersed in ethereal experiences during her sound baths, which feature a blend of chimes, singing bowls, and voice.

Throughout her career, Lailani has been involved in collaborations that have expanded the reach of her music and sound healing offerings. She started writing music when she was 13, but it wasn’t until 2020 where she became more intentional creating music to heal and transform. In 2021, her song “I Am Loved” focusing on finding confidence and healing generational trauma was featured in Halikha's Araw Ng Patay 2021 Video Showcase. Exploring her emo pop punk influences from her teen years, Lailani joined the band “Under the Covers” in 2022 as she experimented with grittier vocals & sounds. The band performed at San Jose festival staples, Porchfest and SOFA Street Fair. In 2023, she composed sound healing meditations for the film "Black Cherry" by Filmmaker Mitch Truong, and she is currently a resident sound healing practitioner at Jiaren Yoga Studio in Santa Clara, CA. Her diverse collaborations show how sound healing can be incorporated into different art forms and settings.

Her sound healing lineage started with her formal training in 2021 from the Global Institute, receiving her sound healing and therapy certificate in 2022. To deepen her education, she continued with Kin Unified’s Sound Therapy Program in 2023. Additionally, she holds certifications in Reiki I + II (Minka Brooklyn) and Holy Fire III (Salvage and Rescue), which she incorporates into her creative practice and offerings.

In her upcoming endeavors, Lailani will continue to empower individuals through music, sound healing sessions and signature program, which helps songwriters harness their own soul songs for wellness, healing, and transformation. In 2024, she opened Flow State Sound Healing & Arts, a space dedicated to sound healing, reiki, and oracle readings, furthering her mission of facilitating deep healing and self-discovery through music and holistic practices.
